Dr. Marcus Sandling, MD, AAHIVS, Director of Sexual Health for the Western Region at Northwell Health and Assistant Professor of Medicine, will present a lecture on how medical mistrust affects HIV PrEP uptake among Black MSM, transgender, and non-binary individuals. The lecture will cover the history of HIV prevention, current medications including PrEP, and the historical context of medical mistrust in Black communities.
