Broward County Friendly Visitor Program
Our Friendly Visitor program offers participants like you a valuable opportunity to connect with other people outside of your current social circle. Enjoy greater community, a refreshing change of pace, and the joy of new friendships.
SAGE’s Friendly Visitor program matches LGBTQ+ elders with caring volunteers for ongoing, weekly social visits and calls. The program combats isolation and fosters connection within the Broward County LGBTQ+ Community.
Become a participant in our Friendly Visiting Program!
Would you like to have a volunteer visit you in your home? If you are a Broward County resident, LGBTQ+ identified, and age 60 or over, you can join our program! Veterans, individuals who are transgender, and people living with HIV are eligible at age 50.

SAGE is seeking dedicated volunteers who are passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ elders. Friendly Visitors commit to at least one year of involvement with their client, visiting for one hour per week and making calls between visits. Training and ongoing support are provided.
